About

Japneet Sahni is a Cloud & DevOps Evangelist with 13 years of experience in information technology (IT) industry in various roles with excellent experience in DevOps automation, cloud solution designing, software development and release management.

He started his journey as a Java developer back in 2010 with Infosys followed by Publicis Sapient (in 2012) and worked as an Oracle Endeca SME for nearly 5 years. During his time at Publicis Sapient, he got an opportunity to work in London, UK for Marks & Spencer for their multi-channel foundational program. It was year 2015, when he realized that the furture is all about cloud and devops and he became passionate about it. Since then there has been no stopping for him. Japneet has gained expertise in automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Packer and cloud providers like GCP, Azure, AWS and OCI. In year 2018, Japneet moved to Paris, France to work with Carrefour for their digital business transformation. It was his first time when he started working with Kubernetes and since then has helped many customers to their migration from legacy to world of containers.

In the middle of pandemic, Japneet decided to move to land of maple leaves, Canada. He led Practices and Tools team (P&T) for Bell Canada as Solutions Architect to improve software delivery practices adoption by a unified approach. He was the Chief Gitlab, Artifactory, Hashicorp Vault, SonarQube and Ansible Tower architect. In 2022, he moved to Arctiq which is Canada’s largest DevOps transformation service provider, reseller and consulting firm and specializes in Cloud and DevSecOps technologies. During his stint with Arctiq, Japneet designed and implemented first ever Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution using Hashicorp Boundary and Vault with a renowned Canadian Bank.

In year 2023, he was awarded as the Hashicorp Core Contributor for Boundary. He has been a speaker in HashiTalks 2023 and HashiTalks Secure and is a big advocate of Zero Trust Security.

In personal life, Japneet loves playing badminton and cricket. He along with his wife, Supreet love playing and travelling with their lovely Labrador girl, Fluffy.
